Professors of Theology

Theology courses are a special feature of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Although it does not have a faculty of theology, our University can benefit from the collaboration of more than sixty Italian theologians, who teach in the various campuses and who make up the College of Theology Professors. Thanks to this body of the University and its collegial work, Cattolica students are allowed access to a discipline whose long history has helped to shape our culture and language. Words such as personfreedomdesiregood, which describe the complexity of the human experience, have grown and deepened in the encounter with the Gospel of Jesus and with Christianity.

The first three theology courses (aimed at students of undergraduate degrees and students in the first three years of integrated degrees) reinterpret the great themes of Christianity in an anthropological key, that is, by focusing on the experience of being human.

The theology courses for graduate degree programmes (and the fourth course for integrated degree programmes) are conducted in seminar form and offer a transdisciplinary approach, in a critical and fruitful dialogue with the various disciplines. The Academic Board is constantly working to update the courses, so that they can meet the expectations of the new generations in the complex era we live in.
