Community of Sant'Egidio

The Community of Sant'Egidio was founded in Rome in 1968, the day after the Second Vatican Council.
The life of the Community is based on prayer, a fraternal and concrete friendship with the poor, a commitment to dialogue and peace. The prayer of the Community is open to anyone who is looking for a space to listen to the Word of God.
In Milan, the Community is close to various realities of poverty (children, immigrants, Roma, homeless, elderly). The students of the Community present at the University are available to meet those who are interested in living this proposal.
